The latest iteration of the Renewable Energy Law (EEG) changes the law with respect to biogas, in part fundamentally.  The consequence: The new framework leaves some questions open.  To address this, BD Agro Renewables GmbH & Co. KG, the biogas subsidiary of the Big Dutchman Group, together with the biogas unit operator Heinz Töpker and representatives of the Oldenburgischen Landesbank hosted an information event on 6 Februar 2009 at the EL-Energy Park Landegge in Haren.

The response was good.  More than 30 interested farmers from the region used the opportunity to discuss over a whole afternoon the opportunities and perspectives presented by the EEG for biogas with sector experts.  Practical aspects were not forgotten: in addition to the presentation of a newly built containerised pump house, the programme included a visit to a modern biogas plant.
